My Tuk-Tuk arrived shortly after 800, although if you are being pedantic it’s motorcycle pulling a rickshaw carriage. It is open to the elements and there is a lovely breeze when you are being driven along. Heath & Safety would probably have a hissy fit, but it’s actually great fun. After stopping off to get my Angkor Pass we head to Angkor Wat.
This on the causeway, You have to walk this part.

The weather was quite cloudy which although is a pain photo wise, is brilliant for walking. And I think we all know what is going to happen soon.
Obviously taking pictures of monks without their permission is wrong, but If they are going to wander into your shot what can you do !
There are some lovely carvings as you are walking through the outer galleries. There are many ways to walk around Angkor Wat. The corridors are open to the elements which allows for a cooling breeze.
The Inevitable happened, it began to rain. And not just a little bit of rain. A veritable deluge, and very welcome it was too, and yes there was thunder as well. And after a quarter of an hour it stopped.
The upper part of the Angkor Wat complex is more open to the elements, and there were very large puddles of standing water. But by now it was getting a warmer.
